Leave Lifecycle

Summary

A confirmed Leave request moves from validated employee/date context to a Pending or approved request and then a terminal decision.

Audience

Employees, approvers, administrators, analysts, product owners, and QA.

Overview

Creation validates tenant, active employee, joining date, date order, Attendance conflict, approved-Leave overlap, and positive calculated days. A current Leave balance is not checked before submission or approval. Workflow-managed Pending requests refuse direct approve/reject and receive an external terminal decision. Rejected and Cancelled requests cannot be approved through the aggregate. Editing/resubmission is not implemented.
