Employee Overview
Summary
The Employee module provides the tenant-scoped workforce record used to identify an employee, describe their employment, connect them to the organization, maintain profile information, track current status, and preserve a business timeline.
Audience
- HR managers, HR executives, and business analysts
- Product owners and Customer Success
- Solution architects and QA engineers
Overview
Purpose
The module separates workforce information from login identity and from specialist processes such as attendance, leave, payroll, expense, recruitment, performance, document handling, and workflow. It provides a stable employee context without claiming ownership of those other business processes.
Business goals
- Maintain one tenant-scoped employee record and employee code.
- Represent current employment and organization context.
- Support controlled profile maintenance and workforce lookup.
- Record significant employee changes in chronological history.
- Provide a confirmed employee context to downstream domains where integration exists.
Responsibilities
Confirmed responsibilities are employee creation and update, profile maintenance, current status, department, designation, reporting manager, search, notes, document references, and timeline entries. Candidate management, offers, full onboarding orchestration, compensation, attendance, leave, payroll, expense approval, performance review, document storage, and reusable workflow ownership remain outside this module.
