Shifts

Summary

A shift is a named tenant working window that can supply primary timing context to attendance calculation.

Audience

HR and attendance administrators, managers, analysts, product owners, implementation partners, and QA engineers.

Shift model

A shift has start and end times, standard hours, an overtime threshold, grace, and active/inactive status. An end time at or before the start represents an overnight window. Deactivation is controlled when active assignments exist. Breaks are Requires confirmation.

Shift values take precedence for the context they provide; policy and profile fill missing or separate calculation context.
