Overtime is non-negative worked time above the effective overtime threshold. Shortfall or deduction hours are the non-negative gap from effective standard hours; supported late-arrival time can contribute. Approval and approved reopening recalculate canonical values. Hourly mode uses actual hours in paid-unit and shortfall determination; Direct mode uses attendance status.
